How a Bitcoin deposit works

The casino generates a deposit address, you send the amount from your own wallet or exchange account, and the balance is credited once the network confirms the transaction. Most operators convert the deposit into euros at the moment it arrives, so your casino balance is a normal euro balance rather than a crypto holding.

That conversion detail matters. If the casino converts on arrival, the exchange rate at that moment is the one you get — and a second conversion happens on the way out.

Costs that are easy to overlook

  • Network fees. They vary with congestion and are paid by you, not the casino. On a small deposit they can be a significant share of the amount.
  • Volatility. Between sending and confirming, the value can move. Over a longer holding period it moves considerably more.
  • Two conversions. In and out, each with its own spread.
  • Confirmation time. Not instant — operators typically wait for a set number of confirmations.

Licensing still comes first

Crypto acceptance says nothing about whether an operator is supervised. Every brand listed on this page meets Estonian licensing requirements, which is what gives you a complaint route and rules around player funds. An unlicensed site accepting crypto offers neither — and a crypto payment is far harder to reverse or trace than a card chargeback.

Estonian rules

Online gambling in Estonia is supervised by the Tax and Customs Board (Maksu- ja Tolliamet) and the minimum age is 21. Winnings from licensed operators are not treated as taxable income for the player; profits from trading the crypto itself are a separate tax question and worth checking against your own situation. The national self-restriction register blocks access at all licensed operators, and free confidential counselling is available on 15410.

FAQ

Common questions before you choose

Quick answers that connect this page with safer casino comparison, bonuses, payments, and review checks.

Which payment method is best for casinos?

The best method depends on speed, availability, withdrawal support, and whether you prefer cards, wallets, or bank-connected payments.

Do all casinos support the same payment methods?

No. Use payment filters or method pages to find brands that support Trustly, Skrill, PayPal, bank transfer, Apple Pay, and other options.

Should I check withdrawals before depositing?

Yes. Deposit support does not always mean the same method is best for withdrawals, so review payout expectations first.
